Big Wins over Region Rival Northview!

Both squads enjoyed big wins last night over region rivals Northview Titans.  The Lady Knights handled the Lady Titans in the night opener winning 56-45.  In doing so they improved their region record to 4-7 drawing them into a tie with West Forsyth.

The boys squad jumped to an early lead and never looked back. Closing the half with a 16 point lead (46-30) in a fast paced run and gun game. They weathered a push by the Titans in the third and then stretched the lead finishing with a commanding score of 90-65.  Payback for falling to the Titans on Friday the 13th (January) on the home court.  It was a sweet victory winning on the road quashing the fun for the Titans on their Senior Night.

For the boys this was a pivotal region game as it draws us even with Roswell in a tie for second seed going into the regional tournament next week.  Roswell faces top seed Milton (11-0) on Friday.  If Roswell fails to hand the Eagles their only regional loss this season that will secure the Knights of sole ownership of the number two seed going into the regional tournament on Tuesday (2/14) at West Forsyth High School.

Centennial High School will be hosting the Varsity Girls Region 6 tournament beginning on Wednesday (2/15) and again Friday (2/17) and wrapping up on Saturday (2/18).

JV Knights Back to Back Champs

Congratulations to the JV Knights on winning their second championship in a row. Again they met rival Alpharetta Raiders in the finals. In a tight game that saw the lead change hands the Knights held on to win 50-43 in the end.

JV Boys to play for Championship, 9th Grade Boys win first game in their tournament.

The Knights beat both Northview and Milton to advance to the Region 6 Class 5A JV Boys championship game. The Championship game will again be a rematch between Centennial and Alpharetta. Read more...
